Allison Langdon (born 20 May 1979) is an Australian television presenter, reporter, journalist, and author. She has hosted the daily current affairs program A Current Affair since 2023.
Langdon was presenting the localised version of the current affairs program 60 Minutes. She has flown into bushfires, bombings, and civil wars as a news reporter. She also hosted the breakfast television program Today and Weekend Today.

Early life
Allison Langdon was born on 20 May 1979 in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. She grew up on a farm with her parents, David and Helen, older brother, Heath, and younger sister, Kristen.
Her father, David, worked in spare car parts while her mother, Helen, was at the NRMA when she wasn’t corralling kids. She moved to Sydney in 2001 after completing her degree and wanted to be a journalist from the age of 12
Education
Langdon schooled at Wauchope High School and MacKillop Senior College in Port Macquarie. She studied journalism at Charles Sturt University, a public university in Bathurst, Australia. She had a scholarship with Channel Seven, which put her through university.
Career
Langdon worked as a presenter on Monday evenings on the Wauchope-based community radio station 2WAY FM. She filed stories for the National Radio News service of the Australian Community Radio Network.
After graduating from school, Langdon started working for the Nine Network. She did an internship with CBS in New York City.
In 2001, Langdon worked as a producer for Nightline. She started to host the daily current affairs program A Current Affair in 2023. She had co-hosted TODAY with the television presenter Karl Stefanovic.
Langdon co-hosted Weekend TODAY alongside David Campbell in 2019. She was also a reporter on 60 Minutes in 2011.
Ally has covered stories from Somalia amid a brutal civil war and ventured into active and dangerous volcanoes. She even came face to face with Grizzly bears in the Canadian wilderness.
Langdon spent nine years in the Sydney newsroom before joining 60 Minutes. She has presented the 6 pm Nine News Sydney bulletin. She co-anchored the network’s coverage of the Queensland flood disaster.
Ally covered the plane crash that killed six Australian mining executives in Cameroon in 2010. She played a credible role in Nine’s coverage of the Australian federal election. She also hosted the prime-time documentary ‘A Royal Engagement’.
Langdon has also covered the drug wars in the Mexican town of Juarez and the bombing of the Australian embassy in Jakarta. She released the book The Child Who Never Was –The Tegan Lane Story in 2007.
In 2019 and 2021, Allison Langdon co-hosted Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight with David Campbell. She interviewed two boys brainwashed as Al-Shabaab terrorists to blow up a market. She is an Ambassador for R U Ok?, the Mirabel Foundation, and the Gidget Foundation.
Ally was on a ‘premium contract’ with Today worth $1 million. She will receive a payment of $250,000 a year for 2 hours of weekly on-air commitments on A Current Affair. She will work Monday to Thursday.
Personal life
Allison Langdon married Michael Willesee, Jr in a stunning ceremony in Noosa in 2008. She met and fell in love with Michael at first sight at a Sydney bar in 2006. They got engaged in 2007.
Langdon shares two children with her husband. They welcomed their son Mack in January 2017 and had their daughter Scout in March 2019. She lives in Sydney with her family.
In 2021, Allison had a knee accident when she was hydrofoiling on the Gold Coast for Today and had to undergo extensive surgery.
