Brittany Higgins (born December 1994) is an Australian former political staffer. She campaigns to change how women are treated in politics and society. She made headlines after her former colleague, Bruce Lehrmann, raped her in 2019.

Former government staffer Brittany Higgins was born in December 1994 to Kelly and Matthew Higgins. She studied debating and public speaking and has been a volunteer for the Young Liberals.
Brittany holds a double degree at Griffith University. She had her first introduction to politics through a mentorship program at school. She revealed she would study for a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Sydney.
The former liberal staffer revealed her new role working for an international organisation dedicated to put an end to women discrimination in 2023. She completed an internship at the United Nations after taking on a role devoted to promoting the rights and equality of women.
“Honoured to have interned at this Year’s United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) in Geneva!” she wrote.
On Instagram, Higgins revealed that she interned at the Palais des Nations, the United Nations’ conference center in Geneva, Switzerland.
Higgins campaigns to change the way women are treated in politics and society. After speaking out about her rape in parliament, a #MeToo protest was held nationwide.
Brittany Higgins married her partner David Sharaz in 2024 at The Valley Estate in the Currumbin Valley surrounded by family and friends. The ceremony had 80 guests cheering them down the aisle. Former sex discrimination commissioner Kate Jenkins attended the glamorous ceremony.
The couple met in Canberra in 2020 and it was love at first sight for Sharaz. She bought a home in France and has begun a new life with David Sharaz. They have a cavoodle named Kingston.
In March 2019, Brittany Higgins accused former political staffer Bruce Lehrmann of raping her at Parliament House in Canberra.
