Early Life
Danika Mason was born on 29 July 1991 in Australia. She grew up in Sydney’s North West and loved sports from a young age. She played team sports like Basketball, Touch Football, Netball, and Soccer.
Education
Mason studied at Oakhill College. She enrolled to study Engineering at University but changed programme after three weeks. She moved to the University of Wollongong to study journalism and marketing.

After completing her degree, Mason joined Nine ahead of the 2012 Olympics in London. She worked as an intern at Channel Nine’s Newsroom on the weekends.
After six months, Mason landed her first job as an Olympic logger in 2012. She began to work full-time in sports. She began to work as a producer but later switched to a reporter.
Mason now reports and presents for Nine News and Wide World of Sports. She is a sideline reporter on the National Rugby League (NRL) and hosts the NSW Cup. She was a consummate professional throughout Channel 9’s broadcast of the NRL Grand Final.
Mason covered the Australian Open tennis tournament in January 2024. She hosted the Sunday Footy Show, covering the Broncos vs Warriors preliminary final. She covered the night’s game between the Dolphins and Manly in 2024.
Personal Life
Danika Mason is dating Bulldogs player Liam Knight after calling off her wedding to Todd Liubinskas. She was to marry Todd on 27 October 2023 at the Greystone Estate in the New South Wales Hunter Valley.
Mason had been in a relationship with Todd for over three years. Todd popped the question in July 2021. She canceled the wedding a few weeks before the ceremony was due. She was spotted cuddling up to Liam Knight on a date at The Butler restaurant in Potts Point in Sydney.
Channel Nine’s Danika Mason reveals a painful health problem with a photo of what appears to be a back injury in May 2024. She lives by the beach in Sydney and often travels across the country for work. She has a four-year-old dog, Charlie.
