Jennifer Keyte (born 21 January 1960) is an Australian journalist and news presenter. She is best known for presenting Tonight Live with Steve Vizard in the early 1990s.
Keyte has worked for all three commercial television networks in a career spanning over forty years. She anchors 5 pm 10 News First bulletins in Melbourne and Adelaide.

Early Life
Jennifer Keyte was born on 21 January 1960 to Walter John and Dorothy Keyte in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She has five siblings – Jill, Linda, Donald, Adam, and Brendan.
Growing up, Keyte wanted to be a kindergarten teacher but changed to journalism as a teenager. She worked at her father’s pharmacy in Maidstone during the school holidays.
Education
Keyte attended St. Columba’s College, Essendon. She enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts degree at La Trobe University but left after her first year.
Career
Keyte started her media journey in radio at the Melbourne-based FM radio station Eon FM (now known as Triple M) in the early 80’s.
After being offered a cadetship, Keyte quit her university course for journalism. She worked as a news reader for 3XY.
Keyte appeared as a TV Announcer in the series Neighbours (1985), a newscaster in Prisoner (1979), and a newsreader in Tonight Live with Steve Vizard (1990).
After some years, Keyte switched to being a reporter at the television station ATV-10 Melbourne. She started presenting the evening news on Seven alongside Glenn Taylor in 1987. She was the first female solo prime-time news anchor on Australian commercial television.
Keyte presented news on the chat show Tonight Live with Steve Vizard. She had a brief stint on Good Morning Australia and presented weekend bulletins. She moved to Nine after briefly at radio station 3AW in 1996 and hosted Good Medicine and Moment of Truth.
In August 2003, Jennifer Keyte returned to the Seven Network to present the weekend news in Melbourne. She has filled in for Natalie Barr and presented the news on Sunrise, Seven Morning News, and Seven 4.30 News.
In May 2018, Keyte returned to Network Ten to present 10 News First Melbourne. She replaced Stephen Quartermain after he returned to being a sports presenter.
In September 2020, Keyte started presenting the Adelaide edition of 10 News First. She received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Quill Awards in March 2024.
Personal life
Jennifer Keyte and her husband of 16 years, Ben Faggetter, separated in 2009 and are now divorced. She is currently single and has two sons – James and Alexander.
Her father died peacefully on 7 July 2021.
